Job Description:

Summary & Purpose of the Position


  • Building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with healthcare professionals (including physicians, physiotherapists, nurses), influencers and decision-makers within the field of Neuroscience.
  • Maintaining and building legacy in Sweden to develop market shares.
  • Building spasticity network and take an ownership in the spasticity area.
  • Engaging HCPs in high-quality scientific and product discussions, providing tailor-made services, support and communication in line with approved materials in order to achieve assigned sales goals in respect to Ipsen’s and Ethics & Compliance rules.
  • Being an active member in the Nordic Neuroscience Team to support the business within the region.

Main Responsibilities & Technical Competencies


  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to maximize product potential mainly within Neurology and Rehabilitation medicine (Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation specialists), along other therapeutic areas such as Pediatrics or Urology.
  • Develop strong and long-term relationships with customers in assigned accounts and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver superior customer experiences that meet organization objectives.
  • Conduct regular meetings to understand customer needs, deliver tailored solutions, and provide scientific and commercial support.
  • Coordinate and facilitate educational programs, speaker events and promotional activities to enhance product awareness and drive product utilization.
  • Prepare and deliver impactful presentations and training sessions for healthcare professionals.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Nordic colleagues to ensure effective implementation of account-specific strategies.
  • Stay up to date with clinical data, treatment guidelines, and developments within the Neuroscience field.
  • Sharing relevant customer and market insights with the wider cross-functional team and documenting customer interactions in our CRM system (Veeva).
  • Monitor sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities, providing insights for the neuro management team.
  • Identifying opportunities and business barriers to adoption and translating customer insights into concrete commercial actions.
  • Representing IPSEN at relevant national and international congresses, meetings and professional events.

Knowledge & Experience (essential):


  • Experience in pharmaceutical sales, key account management, or a related healthcare commercial role, preferably within neurology.  
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals (physicians, nurses, physiotherapists) and key decision-makers in hospital and private care settings.
  • In-depth understanding of the healthcare ecosystem, including patient pathways, treatment protocols, and market access dynamics relevant to neurology and hospital setting.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and develop and execute strategic account plans in order to optimize territory performance.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor scientific and clinical information to diverse audiences.
  • Experience in working cross-functionally with medical, marketing, and sales operations teams to deliver account-specific strategies and achieve sales targets.
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems and digital tools to manage customer interactions and generate sales insights.
  • Familiarity with compliance and ethical standards in pharmaceutical sales is a must

Education / Certifications (essential):


  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, pharmacy, business, or related field.
  • Certification to work in pharmaceutical sales in Sweden (LIF).
  • A valid category B driver’s license.

  • Swedish: Native language
  • English: Full professional proficiency
