Hexcel is currently seeking a Key Account Manager for our Duxford, UK location, however remote working from Southwest UK could be considered.
The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:
- Achieve or exceed sales targets while maintaining profitability and working within budget.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities to increase market share and drive growth.
- Manage and strengthen relationships with key customers and prospects.
- Protect and grow existing business while securing new sales opportunities.
- Support customers with technical queries, coordinating specialist assistance where required.
- Prepare and provide accurate customer information for sales planning and contract negotiations.
- Monitor and report market, commercial, and technical developments within assigned territories.
- Contribute to short, medium, and long-term sales forecasting and budgeting activities.
- Negotiate pricing, supply arrangements, and contract extensions within agreed parameters.
- Act as the primary liaison between customers and internal departments to ensure excellent service delivery.
Qualifications:
- University degree or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in a Key Account Management, Sales, or Business Development role.
- Background knowledge of composites and/or the aerospace industry is desirable.
- Experience working within a multinational manufacturing environment.
- Strong commercial awareness and business acumen.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Skilled negotiator with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong leadership capabilities with a proactive and self-motivated approach.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively within a matrix organisation.
- International outlook with willingness and ability to travel as required.
