WHAT DOES A KAM OFF TRADE DO?

In this role, you will be accountable for creating value through driving revenue and developing strategic relationships with key customers in the Netherlands.

  • You will be responsible to deliver key revenue, value market share and pricing targets.
  • You will develop, and maintain, effective and strategic relationships with Key Customers.
  • You will be accountable for the implementation of the commercial plan.
  • You will demonstrate the entrepreneurship needed to respond effectively to changes in market conditions and customer circumstances

RESPONSIBILITIES

Commercial Performance

  • Deliver on key revenue targets, including NSV, Gross Margin, ROI, and Value Share.
  • Negotiate trade terms, promotional plans, and marketing investments to maximize commercial results.
  • Provide accurate demand forecasting to Supply Chain and Finance to ensure budgeted sales and profit targets are met.

Customer Strategy & Planning

  • Develop, agree, and execute Joint Business Plans that deliver mutual growth for Bacardi and the customer.
  • Understand customer strategy and identify how to leverage Bacardi's strategy to grow the mutual business.
  • Prepare and implement account plans focused on promotion, pricing, and distribution.
  • Optimize promotional plans through disciplined execution of the ROI strategy.

Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with Key Accounts and head office level.
  • Review brand performance with customers on a regular basis through Business Reviews and Selling Stories.
  • Act as a category and shopper insights expert, serving as a trusted advisor to customers.

Collaboration & Ways of Working

  • Collaborate closely with Marketing, Finance, Cat. Development, RGM and Supply Chain to execute plans effectively.
  • Analyse customer, market, and sales data to identify growth opportunities.
  • Implement standardized commercial best practices and drive change, efficiency, and effectiveness across the business.
  • Embed a customer-centric approach across all activities, keeping an external, market-facing focus.

SKILLS

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred. Minimum 3-5 years experience managing Key Accounts/Customers at national level within a leading FMCG company.
  • Proven track record of consistently delivering commercial results, building and nurturing strong relationships that drive long-term business growth.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills, with a strong ability to secure mutually beneficial agreements and maximize commercial outcomes.
  • Advanced analytical skills, capable of interpreting data to identify trends, drive insights, and inform strategic decisions.
  • Working knowledge of sales effectiveness tools, processes, and category management to drive growth and operational efficiency.
  • Good financial acumen and P&L understanding.
  • Hands-on, pragmatic, and autonomous, with strong self-organization and prioritization skills.
  • Fluency in Dutch, proficient in English (both spoken and written).
