More about the role
This is your chance to light the way as a Key Account Manager, sitting within Signify’s Professional Trade sales team. You will own a dynamic portfolio across electrical wholesalers and contractor accounts, while driving contractor-led projects across South Australia and the Northern Territory.
You will play a key role in accelerating growth by building high-impact wholesaler partnerships, creating demand with contractors, and winning project opportunities end-to-end.
You will be responsible to:
- Manage and grow key trade accounts (electrical wholesalers and contractor networks) to deliver revenue, margin and market share targets.
- Develop and execute clear account plans aligned to regional strategy, across both OTC sales and project pipelines.
- Build strong relationships with wholesalers to drive in-store activity, product visibility, and sales performance.
- Engage contractors to generate project opportunities and convert specifications into sales.
- Identify growth opportunities through market insights, optimising product mix, pricing and promotions.
- Lead commercial negotiations, improve product listings, and expand share of wallet within accounts.
- Promote Signify’s Professional portfolio, including LED lighting and connected systems.
- Partner cross-functionally (marketing, product, order desk) to deliver campaigns, training and customer outcomes.
- Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline management and CRM reporting.
- Ensure strong execution across trade marketing, logistics and aftersales to deliver a high-quality customer experience.
While we value and appreciate all applicants, we believe that the following experience and skills will be needed to shine brightly in this job opening:
- 5+ years’ sales experience with a proven track record of achieving targets in complex, competitive environments
- Strong understanding of lighting, electrical or related technical products.
- Proven ability to build relationships with wholesalers, contractors and key stakeholders.
- Commercially driven, proactive and adaptable in a fast-moving market.
- Customer-focused with strong communication and influencing skills.
- Comfortable using CRM systems and managing pipelines.
- Open to regular travel, including to the Northern Territory approximately every 6 weeks.
