About the role:
Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) is seeking an experienced Aircraft Structural Integrity Engineer to join our P-8 NZ program. In this role, you will help ensure the continued airworthiness, safety, and structural integrity of a world-class defence aircraft capability.
Working within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team, you will provide engineering support across structural design, analysis, repairs, and in-service sustainment. You'll contribute to the assessment of structural issues, development of engineering artefacts, and delivery of practical recommendations that support fleet reliability, operational readiness, and compliance with applicable aviation regulations and standards.

Responsibilities:
As an Aircraft Structural Integrity Engineer within BDA, you will
- Monitor aircraft structural condition data (including defects, inspections, repairs and modifications) to ensure aircraft are safe and reliable throughout their service life.
- Develop engineering reports and documentation to provide analysis findings and present technical recommendations.
- Implement and continuously improve procedures for data collection, assessment, and reporting.
- Provide technical input and review of engineering decisions regarding aircraft structural findings and efforts.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide routine updates and presentations on structural integrity program outcomes and findings.
- Foster a collaborative environment by sharing technical knowledge and best practices with team members.
Experience/Qualifications:
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Bachelor of Engineering in Aerospace, Aeronautical or Mechanical from nationally accredited program. (RPEQ &/or CPEng desirable).
- At least 5 years of experience in Aircraft Structural Integrity (ASI), or aircraft repairs, including structural design, analysis, or engineering support to in-service aircraft operations.
- Previous experience in developing engineering artefacts within a regulated aviation environment such as the New Zealand Defence Aviation Rules (DAR) environment or similar (DASR, CASA, FAA, EASA, etc.).
- Possess strong analytical skills, including the ability to collect, organise, and analyse data to develop conclusions and recommendations.
- Well-developed communication skills to work collaboratively to a high standard within a multi-discipline team. A proactive mindset with a strong desire to take initiative and drive results.

Applicants must be Australian citizens to meet Defence security requirements and must be willing to undergo the standard government vetting process, including a full life background check. BDA will sponsor and support the required clearance process.
