What you’ll do

Join AstraZeneca in Hungary and help us redefine respiratory care. We are seeking a Key Account Manager (KAM) to lead strategic customer engagement across centers and outpatient clinics in Hungary, shaping patient pathways and driving sustainable access to our Respiratory portfolio.

As a KAM, you will manage key accounts across your territory, mapping medical needs, identifying patient pathways, and proactively uncovering business opportunities. You will build trusted, long-term relationships with decision-makers, align value propositions to their objectives, and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver on account strategies. You will report to the Franchise Lead/FLSM and work closely with Medical, Marketing, Market Access and other partners.

Key responsibilities

  • Account strategy and execution: Develop, maintain, and deliver trimesterly Account Plans based on robust insights; prioritize resources and execute activities within budget to meet strategic objectives.
  • Stakeholder engagement: Build strong relationships with physicians (across relevant specialties), nurses, chief pharmacists and institutional leaders; tailor product value propositions to decision-makers’ needs via targeted omnichannel engagement.
  • Patient pathway shaping: Map local patient journeys, identify intervention points, and remove barriers to appropriate care and access.
  • Data, insights and reporting: Gather, analyze and synthesize account intelligence; share insights with the cross-functional team; plan weekly visits and record daily activities in Veeva; meet predefined visit frequency per cycle.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Align regularly with Franchise Lead, Medical Manager, Product Manager, Market Access Manager, Coordinator and MSLs; participate in weekly team meetings, monthly sales meetings and biannual start meetings.
  • External representation: Represent the AstraZeneca portfolio at national and regional congresses and regional roundtables (in-person/virtual).
  • Compliance and administration: Complete required administrative tasks (expenses, leave reporting), follow company SOPs and ethical standards, and continually build capabilities through mandatory KAM trainings.

Your profile

  • Education: Physician, dentist, pharmacist, health care degree or biologist.
  • Experience: We can consider profiles from Innovative Pharma & Generics
  • Skills: Strategic mindset; ability to identify problems and opportunities within centers and translate them into results; strong organization and accuracy; performance- and business-oriented; excellent communication and conflict-handling skills; proactive, creative, open mindset; ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Digital and language: Advanced PC skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook); English at least conversational level as well as native Hungarian
  • Mobility: Valid driver’s license with regular driving experience; willingness to travel within Hungary.

Nice to have

  • Therapy and market knowledge: KAM experience in Respiratory or other therapeutic areas; strong understanding of the local geography and specialist HCP landscape.
