The Role

GSK’s Malaysia team is looking for a dynamic and result-driven Key Account Manager to join the team. The Key Account Manager will play a pivotal role in driving business growth by developing and nurturing strategic relationships with key clients and stakeholder within the therapy area of oncology (Clinical Oncology and gyne-oncology). Reporting to the Commercial Lead – Oncology, you will have full ownership and accountability for managing the assigned strategic accounts.  

As a member of the Strategic Account Management Team, your responsibilities include:

  • Accountability for delivering the business objectives for the specific accounts

  • Be accountable to develop and execute personalized strategic account plans to drive value and deliver growth, including innovative marketing strategies

  • Develop and execute robust channel business plan leveraging face-to-face as well as digital engagements to create a personalized omni-channel experience for customers.

  • Explore opportunities for customer/patient activation and navigate these with customers and internal stakeholders in preparation of the co-ownership for new launches.

  • Forecasts the assigned accounts sales.

  • Develops and execute solutions to address performance gaps for assigned accounts. Proposes activities to enhance performance and competitivity for GSK portfolio within assigned accounts.

  • Establish and cultivate effective commercial relationships for listing of GSK products, co-ownership of strategic plans.

  • Manage relationships with, decision makers, and other stakeholders for each strategic account to ensure optimal access for GSK brands.

  • Maintain high level of customer service by identifying and resolving customer queries and problems proactively.

  • Ensure key accounts and stakeholders are engaged, educated, and informed to drive growth.

  • Continuously identify customer insights to drive performance and business opportunities. Follow up on progress and outcome.

  • Collaborate cross functionally with GSK commercial, medical and sales teams to deliver objectives aligned with GSK strategic priorities.

Why You?
This role is field-based with regular travel across the assigned territory. On-site presence in Malaysia is required.

Basic Qualification:

  • We are seeking professionals with the following required skills and qualifications to help us achieve our goals

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Business or related field.

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in pharmaceutical or specialty sales, account management, or relevant healthcare roles.

  • Proven track record of building relationships with healthcare professionals and achieving targets.

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the assigned territory.

  • Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in Malay or other local languages is an advantage.

  • Resident in Malaysia and able to work from the field as required.

Preferred Qualification If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus

  • Experience in oncology or hematology account management or institutional sales.

  • Experience working with hospitals, specialty pharmacies or national procurement processes.

  • Demonstrated ability to create and execute strategic account or territory plans.

  • Strong digital literacy and experience with CRM systems and remote engagement tools.

  • Good commercial acumen, analytical skills and comfort using data to guide decisions.

  • Ability to work collaboratively across functions and contribute to launches.
