Job Description

Your Contribution:

The Key Account Manager-LATAM is responsible for developing the business by researching and developing opportunities and applications in Automation using IR imaging cameras. The key goal is to develop integrators and end users, and to develop and replicate solutions in Latin America countries. This role will be based in Mexico City.

Your Job in Plain Text:

  • Travel the region to establish contact with integrators, representatives and key customers to tell them about Teledyne FLIR Solutions. A minimum of 50% travel is expected, with 70% in the first 6 months.
  • Fine tune the commercial policy for Latin America countries, in close coordination with the Managing Director for Latin America, including price list, discounts, payment terms, pipeline management and product access to boost our sales volume.
  • Present seminars, make product demos and train end-users and channel partners personnel on as needed basis. Participate in trade shows, public speeches opportunities and similar opportunities to promote our products and the company.
  • Meet marketing and sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements; prepare an annual budget; schedule expenditures; analyze variances; initiate corrective actions.
  • Determine annual and gross-profit plans by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and channel partners; project expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products; analyze trends and results; establish pricing strategies; recommend selling prices; monitor costs, competition, supply, and demand.
  • Accomplish marketing and sales objectives by planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating advertising, merchandising and trade promotion programs; develop field sales action plans.
  • Identify marketing opportunities by identifying end-user requirements.
  • Improve product marketability and profitability by researching, identifying, and capitalizing on market opportunities; suggest improvements to products and its packaging.
  • Sustain rapport with key accounts by making periodic visits; explore specific needs; anticipating new opportunities.

 To be ready to take on this role we would love if you have:

  • Substantial experience in sales management or Line Management 
  • Experience with software solutions and turn key install as well as complex projects. 
  • Ability to travel 70% during first 6 months, and 50% thereafter; experience working in a global team of professionals. 
  • Languages: Spanish (native); Portuguese (fluent, desired) and English (fluent)
  • Machine Vision knowledge is an advantage.
  • Extensive experience in all aspects of Supplier Relationship Management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
