Your Role: Key Account Executive (KAE)

As a Key Account Executive, you will be part of the Elanco commercial team responsible for managing and growing strategic accounts in the animal health sector. In this role, you’ll be accountable for achieving sales targets, delivering value to direct accounts, and driving collaboration across sales, marketing, and technical functions.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate account plans to achieve sales targets and be the #1 value contributor for key customers

  • Apply Strategic Account Management and Consultative Selling techniques to exceed performance metrics

  • Collaborate with Marketing and Technical teams to ensure high-quality and timely execution of programs

  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with customers and maintain deep understanding of market trends

  • Identify and address business opportunities or threats by engaging internal stakeholders proactively.

What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Science or Animal Husbandry

  • Experience: Minimum 7 years of sales experience in the animal health industry

  • Proven track record in key account management and ability to work independently in planning and execution

What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (preferred qualifications):
  • Experience in feed distribution, farm management, or feed manufacturing

  • Strong consultative selling and pre-call planning skills

  • Background in mentoring junior account managers (KAR/KAS)

  • Familiarity with animal disease and management knowledge

  • Ability to analyze market dynamics and contribute strategic insights
