Sparks Preschool (part of Seven Retail)
Sparks Preschool is looking for a passionate and experienced K2 Curriculum Designer to design and implement engaging, play-based, and inquiry-driven learning experiences for children aged 4–6 years. This role combines curriculum development, teacher training, and parent engagement—requiring both expertise in early childhood pedagogy and strong communication skills.
What You’ll DoDesign a comprehensive year-long K2 curriculum aligned with child development milestones and school readiness goals.
Develop lesson plans, teacher guides, and classroom activities that integrate literacy, numeracy, motor development, science exploration, arts, and social-emotional growth.
Embed 21st-century skills (creativity, collaboration, problem-solving) into learning experiences.
Create and curate hands-on learning materials, projects, and thematic units that are joyful and developmentally appropriate.
Mentor and coach K2 teachers, providing training and support for effective classroom delivery.
Build parent engagement tools (learning overviews, milestone trackers, at-home activity suggestions) to strengthen home-school connections.
Present the curriculum clearly and confidently to parents, demonstrating how learning goals prepare children for primary school.
Evaluate and refine curriculum based on classroom observations, teacher feedback, and parent input.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Curriculum & Instruction, or related field.
3+ years of experience teaching or designing curriculum for children aged 4–6.
2+ years of experience in curriculum development or early childhood program design.
Strong knowledge of kindergarten readiness milestones across literacy, numeracy, motor, and socio-emotional development.
Proven ability to design play-based and inquiry-based curriculum.
Strong communication and presentation skills with both teachers and parents.
Experience writing lesson plans, units, or educational materials.
Preferred Skills & Traits
Familiarity with international early years frameworks (e.g., IB PYP Early Years, Montessori, Reggio Emilia, or similar).
Skilled in teacher coaching, training, and professional development.
Creative thinker with the ability to design projects that spark curiosity and joy in learning.
Strong organizational and planning skills.
Fluent in English (spoken and written).
Proficiency in Canva and Google Workspace (Docs, Slides, Sheets) for planning, documentation, and material design.
Love creating engaging, hands-on learning experiences for young children.
Can translate child development theory into practical, joyful classroom practices.
Believe that learning in the early years should be fun, meaningful, and future-ready.
