Join the Institute for Social Concerns as a Justice Education Program Manager!

We are looking for a dynamic organizer and proactive colleague to join the Institute for Social Concerns in our mission to grow justice, rooted in the common good. Under the direction of the Associate Director of Justice Education for the Institute for Social Concerns, the Justice Education Program Manager will lead the daily operational and administrative tasks for several justice education programs, as well as provide support for Institute initiatives and events. This position works independently to guide justice education program administration, immersive learning coordination, management and development of community/site host partnerships, and co-curricular program support. This is a full-time, 12-month position.

This position plays an essential role in the development and execution of the Institute’s justice education strategy. The position will assist in the development and growth of programs as needed.

The position may permit up to one day per week of remote work, in accordance with the Institute policies and scheduling after the first 90 days.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3 to 4 years experience.
  • Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects and to prioritize activities in response to changing circumstances and on-going deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ͎Strong project management skills, including work with travel arrangements (including international)
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Google Suite
  • Working knowledge of Notre Dame systems (e.g., Banner, Concur, etc.)
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills 
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently on multiple projects
  • An understanding and appreciation of the mission of the Institute and the University
  • An understanding of higher education and interest in supporting students is strongly preferred
