Leidos is seeking a candidate to fill a Junior Window System Administrator position supporting DISA's GSM-O contract at Scott AFB, IL. The candidate will maintain the smooth operation of multi-user computer systems running Windows Server OS and Linux servers on a global network management system.
Provides support on a M-F schedule, also responsible for on-call, extended hour, and weekend support as required by mission or emergency situations. Position may require domestic and international travel, estimated at less than 10%. All work is performed based on service level agreements (SLA) and customer defined Accepted Level of Performance (ALP). Candidate is required to support the development, documentation and tracking of measurements and metrics relevant to the ALP's. Some telework may be permissible.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be able to work in a rapid paced environment.
- The candidate works independently to maintain the smooth operation of a multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators.
- Duties include setting up user, administrator and service accounts.
- Resolves issues related to networks, applications, security monitoring and protection systems
- Interacts with other technicians to resolve complex problems.
- Creates, maintains, and implements detailed documentation to include standard operating procedures; Tactics, Techniques and Procedures; and Work Instructions
- Application of security settings and other commercial best practices such as DISA STIGS.
- Reviewing/updating Wiki pages
- Provides support on a M-F schedule, also responsible for on-call, extended hour, and weekend support as required by mission or emergency situations.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline and 2 years of overall related experience with a Windows server environment. Specific experience, education and training may be considered in lieu of degree
- Remote Desktop Services (Login and Security)
- Managing Active Directory
- System (hardware) and application (software) installation and configuration.
- System monitoring using installed tools.
- Application of security settings and other commercial best practices such as DISA STIGS.
- Experience with configuration, troubleshooting and maintaining virtual environments.
- Currently possess an active Secret security clearance and the ability to acquire a Top Secret security clearance is required for this position.
- Currently possess DoD 8750 certification at least IAT level II, e.g. Security+ce.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with a ticketing system such as BMC Remedy
- ITIL Foundation certified
- Linux OS experience.
- Cisco Security Manager and/or Cisco Identity Services Engine
- Networking using Cisco and/or Juniper switch or routers
- Security Information and Event Management
Troubleshooting Citrix Virtual Desktop and applications
