Junior Video Editor
Job Description
We're seeking a passionate and creatively driven Junior Video Editor to join our vibrant team. This role is perfect for a budding storyteller with a keen eye for detail and a desire to craft engaging video content. You'll collaborate closely with our project manager, sound engineer, director of photography, and Sr. Motion Graphics Artist, contributing to projects that captivate audiences across various platforms. We value innovation and are looking for someone eager to grow their skills in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Craft Compelling Narratives: Assist in transforming raw footage into polished, story-driven video content.
Collaborative Story Development: Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute to the conceptualization of video projects, ensuring alignment with project goals and brand voice.
Technical Refinement: Execute precise edits, color corrections, and basic motion graphics to enhance the visual and auditory impact of videos.
Platform-Specific Content Creation: Produce and adapt video content for diverse platforms, including YouTube, social media (Instagram, Linkedin, etc.), and internal communications, adhering to platform-specific requirements.
Asset Management and Organization: Maintain a well-organized library of video files and project assets, ensuring efficient workflow and accessibility.
Quality Assurance and Timely Delivery: Adhere to project timelines and quality standards, ensuring final deliverables are polished and meet expectations.
Iterative Feedback and Revisions: Incorporate feedback from leadership, senior editors and stakeholders, making necessary revisions to achieve optimal results.
Continuous Learning and Skill Development: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in video editing to enhance your skill set.
On-Location DIT: Potential travel to various locations to assist in footage dumps, organization, and setting up projects for success.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Collaborative Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Software Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise in Adobe Premiere Pro with a strong understanding of non-linear editing workflows.
Attention to Detail and Storytelling Instinct: A keen eye for detail and a passion for crafting compelling visual narratives.
Time Management and Organization: Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Growth Mindset: A strong desire to learn, adapt, and grow in the field of video editing. We are a team of life long learners.
Flexibility and Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing travel schedules and on-location production environments.
Portfolio Showcase: A portfolio demonstrating your video editing skills and storytelling abilities.
Nice to Haves:
Experience working in the B2B technology space
Experience with DaVinci Resolve for color grading.
Experience with Adobe After Effects for motion graphics and visual effects.
Basic understanding of audio editing and sound design principles.
Preferred Qualifications:
Formal Education: Degree or certification in film production, multimedia design, or a related field.
Professional Experience: Proven experience in video production or editing, whether through internships, freelance work, or professional roles.
Social Media Savvy: In-depth knowledge of social media video formats, trends, and best practices across various platforms.
