Position SummaryACE Properties is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Urban Draftsman to support the planning, design, and execution of urban development and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will assist in preparing technical drawings, layouts, and documentation while collaborating with architects, urban planners, surveyors, and site teams. This role is ideal for individuals looking to build their career in urban planning and drafting within a dynamic real estate environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare architectural and urban planning drawings using AutoCAD.
Convert conceptual sketches and design inputs into accurate technical drawings.
Assist in preparing plans and layouts for roads, utility networks, and infrastructure projects.
Update drawings based on design revisions and project requirements.
Perform area calculations using AutoCAD and Google Earth.
Organize and maintain drawing files, survey data, and project documentation.
Assist in creating KML/KMZ files and converting them into AutoCAD drawings with proper georeferencing.
Support surveyors by incorporating survey coordinates into project drawings.
Prepare as-built drawings based on site updates and approved revisions.
Visit project sites when required to verify drawings and collect necessary information.
Coordinate with architects, planners, engineers, and site teams to ensure drawing accuracy.
Ensure all drawings comply with company standards and project specifications.
Perform other drafting and documentation tasks assigned by management.
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Drafting, Architecture, Urban Planning, or a related field.
1–3 years of experience in urban drafting, architectural drafting, or infrastructure projects.
Proficiency in AutoCAD; familiarity with Google Earth and georeferencing techniques is an advantage.
Basic understanding of coordinate systems, KML/KMZ files, and mapping concepts.
Experience working with infrastructure, housing, or real estate projects is preferred.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and drafting standards.
Basic understanding of urban planning and infrastructure layouts.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good organizational and documentation skills.
Ability to learn quickly and work in a collaborative environment.
Effective communication and coordination skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
Willingness to visit project sites as required.
