Position Summary:
Aptos’ Release Management Office is seeking a motivated Junior Upgrades Engineer with 2–4 years of experience to support the generation, configuration, execution, and automation of upgrade scripts for Aptos CORE and STORE products.
Responsibilities:
- Execute the implementation and upgrade of retail software solutions, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption to client operations.
- Generate, configure, and automate upgrade scripts for CORE and STORE applications using PowerShell and Python.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize automation scripts for deployment, configuration, and maintenance tasks.
- Install, configure, and manage SaaS product releases including using DSC for deployments.
- Provide L2 technical support, troubleshooting, and resolution for issues related to retail upgrades and hotfixes.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Collaborate with development and support teams to facilitate smooth upgrades and resolve technical issues.
- Willingness to work in shifts as required to support global operations or critical project timelines.
Qualifications:
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in software deployment, upgrade scripting, or a similar role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, Python) and automation tools.
- Familiarity with Docker, Windows Server, SQL Server, and DSC.
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V is an added advantage.
- Prior experience in e-commerce environments is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to articulate technical information to various audiences.
- Strong attention to detail, willingness to learn, and teamwork skills.
