ABOUT THE ROLEWe are looking for a Junior System Engineer to support the deployment, configuration, maintenance, and improvement of business-critical IT systems, including PKI. Working alongside experienced engineers, you will help ensure system stability, security, and reliable operation.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupport software deployment, maintenance, testing, and retirement.
Assist with system integration, configuration, and approved changes.
Support Windows Server, PKI, networking, backup, and other infrastructure.
Troubleshoot incidents, contribute to root cause analysis, and implement preventive actions.
Support testing, quality assurance, documentation, and change management.
Work with internal teams and third-party vendors on technical issues and integrations.
Support PKI operations and compliance with standards such as ICAO and eIDAS.
Maintain technical documentation and knowledge bases.
Participate in projects, technical meetings, and knowledge-sharing activities.
You are a proactive and technically curious individual who enjoys troubleshooting and learning new technologies. You can work independently on assigned tasks while collaborating effectively with experienced engineers and wider teams.
Experience & KnowledgeHigher-level education in IT or a related field.
1–2 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, infrastructure, or a similar environment. Strong entry-level candidates may also be considered.
Awareness of ISO 27001, eIDAS, or ICAO is an advantage.
Experience or practical knowledge in one or more of the following areas is desirable:
Windows & Infrastructure
Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO.
Physical and virtual machines, Hyper-V.
Backup solutions, preferably Veeam.
Patch management / WSUS.
Networking & Security
Basic networking and troubleshooting.
Firewalls, VPNs, DNS, SSL/TLS.
Cisco, Cloudflare, or Wireshark exposure is an advantage.
Cloud & DevOps
Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD concepts.
GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
NFS/SMB storage concepts.
Databases
Basic knowledge of MSSQL, MariaDB, or PostgreSQL.
Database security, performance, backups, and availability concepts.
Relevant certifications such as CCNA, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, or Microsoft Windows Server are advantageous but not required.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIESStrong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Good communication and teamwork.
Willingness to learn and develop technically.
Ability to follow technical documentation and procedures.
Organized, proactive, and adaptable approach.
Comfortable working with international teams and stakeholders.
The role may involve international travel of up to 30% for implementations, training, testing, and support activities. Candidates must be able to obtain the required passport and visas.

Skills Required
- Higher-level education in IT or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of enterprise IT support or administration experience
- Hands-on experience with Windows Server and Active Directory
- Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, Hyper-V, and Linux or RHEL
- Experience with Veeam or another backup solution
- Networking and troubleshooting experience
- Knowledge of WSUS and patch management
- General understanding of PKI and Microsoft Certificate Authority
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
- ITIL Incident and Change Management experience
