Position: Junior Software Engineer (Band 1)
Reporting to: Head of Software Engineering
Location: Lisbon - Hybrid
Introduction: We are looking for a motivated Graduate Software Engineer to join our London Market Software Engineering team. This role focuses on supporting our Innovation squads in creating new “Cloud First” solutions that add value to the business. We are adopting a cloud-first approach (Azure) for new systems and transforming our legacy applications to enhance growth and reliability. This opportunity is perfect for a Graduate in an IT discipline with a year in industry or an internship alongside this. Any experience in IT upto 18 months will be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders and your squad to deliver value.
- Support engineers within your squad with your expertise and opinions to drive forward delivery.
- Support requirements gathering.
- Ensure code is peer-reviewed, unit tested, and delivered through automated pipelines to live environments.
- Ensure your code is secure.
Must Have Skills:
- Proficiency in C#.
- Knowledge with CI/CD Pipelines.
- Knowledge of Source Control.
- Understanding of unit testing.
- Knowledge of JSON and SQL.
- A degree in a technical discipline.
