We are looking for motivated and passionate Junior Software Engineer to join our App Runtime team. Our area of expertise encompasses building a wide variety of tools for other developers to use in their respective Splunk stacks. We, as engineers, create the building blocks and/or environments for other engineers to implement and use. Your contributions will create a robust, adaptable and advanced user friendly development experience. Enrich and empower others to their fullest potential.


This role requires cross-team collaboration with our product management, user experience, and documentation teams, as well as technical leaders from other engineering teams.


Responsibilities:

●      Contribute to design, implementation and delivery of long-term impact software in accordance with given requirements and existing system architecture.

●      Maintain existing technology stack and debug and fix issues.

●      Work closely with product management, and architects and the team to build exciting features, reusable components and products.

●      Create, enhance and encourage robust test suites for all code, because you recognize the value of automated testing and continuous integration.

●      Contribute to code reviews of the product, and use your knowledge of customer experiences to dedicatedly prevent future problems.

●      Follow SDLC process in Agile methodology.

  Requirements:

●      Strong motivation to learn and improve technical skills.
Software engineering experience in SaaS application development.

●      Experience in Go in a production environment.

●      Knowledge about Docker, Kubernetes and other container technologies.

●      Nice to have:

○      Python knowledge

○      C++ knowledge

○      AWS or Azure experience

○      Understanding of computer networks

○      gRPC protocol insight

●      Knowledge of operating system (preferably Linux) inner-workings.

●      Strong communication and comprehension skills, both verbal and written.
