If you are at the beginning of your career and are interested in Fraud Prevention in the ever-changing world of payments this might be the role for you! As a member of our team, you will be responsible for detecting and preventing fraudulent activities, conducting investigations, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Become part of a team utilizing a number of tools and methods to identify fraud patterns, reduce the risk and protect SumUp & our clients - small & medium merchants from criminal activity!
What you'll do:
- Monitor and analyze customer transactions to detect fraudulent activities and trends and prevent financial loss for the company
- Take care of fraud related notifications from the various acquirers
- Propose process improvements, based on established best practices, to identify and address risks
- Support daily operational functions addressing Risk and Anti-fraud related inquiries from clients and internal business channels
- Work with internal and external partners to monitor and manage fraud incidents on various prepaid products and channels
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in fraud prevention and share knowledge with the team
You'll be great for this position if:
- You have basic understanding of the payment cycle, the different methods by which payments are made and processed
- You have basic understanding of seller and buyer fraud tactics
- You understand data privacy best practices
- You understand what can create complaints and how to prevent them
- You have critical thinking - question existing processes, suggest alternatives
- You have basic technical skills - Word and Excel
- You have basic familiarity with anti-money laundering (AML) regulations
