The Role
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking an Engineer Project Associate to join our Wind Energy Advisory team, based in either Barcelona or Lyon. In this role, you will contribute to the success of energy projects by providing detailed solutions to our clients.
you will manage the execution and timely completion of wind projects. Your responsibilities will include analyzing project scope, defining project specifications, and preparing detailed reports for clients. At UL Solutions, the analysis of renewable energy projects spans the full range of activities, from data processing and visualization to descriptive and inferential statistics, culminating in comprehensive energy reports.
This is a hybrid role.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Execute projects accurately and independently, ensuring compliance with defined methodologies and guidelines.
  • Provide technical support to team members.
  • Offer technical assistance to Project Managers for potential client communications.
  • Ensure regular coordination with Project Managers regarding project status updates.
  • Integrate continuous improvement concepts and techniques into all aspects of the role.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of UL knowledge.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor of Science degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Physical Science, Meteorological Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems Engineering, Physics Engineering, Data Science, or Statistics).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the wind energy sector.
  • Ability to think outside the box and approach problems from different perspectives; a curious mindset, asking "why" and "how."
  • Excellent report-writing and presentation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Proactive and able to take initiative.
  • Eager problem solver.
  • Capable of working under deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications (Optional):
  • Master of Science or Engineering degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Physical Science, Engineering, Data Science, or Statistics) from an accredited university.
  • Proven experience in meteorological data analysis.
