Role and Responsibilities
As the Junior PR Manager, this person will play an integral role alongside wider PR team in our product-first PR initiatives, from our best-in-class reviews programmes across Home Entertainment and Appliances, Display and MX, to driving our earned tech influencer engagement programmes and supporting on industry award shows.
We are looking for someone with strong interest in the tech industry, a key understanding of the tech media landscape, and with excellent contacts (national / tech media & earned tech influencers). They must be comfortable working as part of a team and across multiple divisions, with an appetite to grow product-based initiatives.
Deliverables will include:
Play an integral role in our product awards and reviews programmes with both traditional media and earned tech influencers, regularly reviewing and innovating where needed to expand YoY results
Confidently share our reviews with divisional stakeholders and find opportunities to amplify them (e.g. Samsung.com, Retail, Social)
Develop our earned tech influencer engagement programme to ensure constant conversation around Samsung in and around launch moments, also working with social team to identify any joint opportunities
Working with Samsung’s PR agency – supporting them in navigating the business and challenging current ways of working to get results and positive impact
Be primary contact for consumer tech media and earned influencers, and have a key interest in industry / competitor news, gaining insights and developing plans to meet needs accordingly
Develop understanding on best practice where relevant around developments in AI and GEO and share this knowledge with the PR team and key stakeholders
Work alongside divisional leads on trade show activity and hosted media trips related to product launches
Share industry knowledge with the wider members of the PR & Comms team on your specialism
Skills and Qualifications
To be successful, you will possess the following skills and attributes:
Experience in tech with interest of the evolving earned media landscape and have best-in-class relationships.
A media hound, with strong relationships across both traditional and emerging earned media and influencers.
An appetite to learn GEO and current uses of AI, with ideas on how this can influence our PR programme positively.
A challenger mindset who uses industry knowledge to influence PR programmes.
A passion for product and competitor knowledge, utilising insights to influence ways—of-working.
A great teammate with a positive demeanour and collaborative mentality.
A problem-solver with the ability to think fast and multi-task
Experience influencing, presenting to and collaborating with agency partners and internal teams
Proactive mindset, searching for new opportunities relevant to your areas of ownership.
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and product review trackers.
