Job Responsibilities:
The position supports the establishment and operational implementation of the Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) at Magna Steyr. The role contributes to enabling the company's cloud-first strategy and ensures that cloud services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) are used in a secure, standardized, efficient, and cost-optimized manner.
The jobholder serves as a key contact for IT and business units, supporting them in the procurement, assessment, onboarding, and operational management of cloud solutions.
The position helps build full transparency of all cloud services used across Magna Steyr, ensures compliance with Magna's IT requirements and cloud policies, and contributes to reducing IT and information protection risks while improving efficiency and governance.
Main Responsibilities
  • Support in establishing the Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE):
  • Contribute to designing and building the structures, governance models, and standardized processes of the CCoE.
  • Help define and implement standardized procedures for the procurement and operation of cloud services.
  • Analysis & evaluation of new cloud services:
  • Review cloud requests from business units for IT relevance, security, compliance, and cost efficiency.
  • Ensure that new cloud services meet Magna's IT requirements, IT General Controls, and the cloud policy.
  • Define compensating controls to reduce risk's if cloud requirements will not met.
  • Transparency & risk management for existing cloud services:
  • Support building a complete inventory of all cloud services used within Magna Steyr.
  • Identify, assess, and help reduce existing IT and information protection risks.
  • Assist in implementing and performing required controls during operation
  • Define compensating controls to reduce risk when cloud requirements are no longer met during a periodic review.
  • Consulting & support for business units:
  • Act as a qualified contact for business departments regarding cloud procurement, integration, and operational questions.
  • Guide stakeholders through selection, onboarding, and use of cloud solutions.
  • Continuous cost optimization & service ownership:
  • Support the implementation of cloud cost management (transparency, optimization, reporting).
  • Ensure that clear IT service ownership is established for all new cloud services.
  • Take on service ownership for assigned cloud services, including lifecycle management, compliance adherence, risk monitoring, and coordination with providers and internal stakeholders

Main Requirements
  • University degree in relevant field
  • 5+ years of experience in Cloud engineering or architecture
  • Understanding of cloud architectures (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and hybrid IT environments
  • Basic knowledge of identity and access management (IAM), authentication mechanisms, and security controls
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or comparable solutions (learning on the job possible)
  • Advantageous: Experience with IT General Controls (ITGC) or cloud governance frameworks

Additional Requirements
  • Ability to analyze and standardize processes, particularly in cloud procurement and operational workflows
  • Knowledge of project management methods and ability to work in transformation or transition projects
  • Structured documentation and reporting skills (e.g., cloud inventories, cost reports, risk analyses)
  • Understanding of IT service management processes (e.g., ITIL)
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with IT teams and business stakeholders
  • Ability to explain complex technical topics in a clear, understandable way
  • Solution-oriented and structured working style
  • Assertiveness in enforcing standards, guidelines, and compliance requirements
  • High sense of responsibility and awareness of IT security and risk topics
