The Role

This is a great opportunity for a candidate who has a tertiary qualification and 1-3 years’ experience in fintech, tech, consulting or advisory to join Ozow’s Operations team as a Junior Operations & Strategy Analyst. You will play a pivotal role in aligning strategic initiatives with operational processes, while providing valuable commercial and strategic insights that will support the company’s continued growth. 


In this role, you’ll work within a dynamic, fast-paced environment alongside a team of driven and talented professionals who are passionate about innovation in fintech. You will have the opportunity to gain exposure to high-impact projects, collaborate across departments, and contribute to strategic initiatives that directly influence Ozow’s future direction.   

 

You are an ideal candidate if you have:   

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Science, Finance, Commerce, Science or a related field. 
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in fintech, tech, consulting/advisory services, or related industries.  
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with Power BI and PowerPoint as a plus. 
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets 
  • A holistic outlook with the ability to combine quantitative information with qualitative research 
  • High attention to detail and accuracy 
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal 
  • A proactive and innovative mindset with a sense of urgency 
  • An interest in technology and innovation 
  • Comfort in adapting to new tools and systems 
  • An adaptable demeanor with the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment 


Roles & Responsibilities: 

  • Market and competitive research: Conduct desktop research to identify market trends, and new growth opportunities. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders 
  • Business case development: Assist in the development of business cases that evaluate the feasibility and impact of new products, services, or market expansions. 
  • Data analysis & reporting: Gather, analyse, and interpret large data sets to support key strategic decision-making. Provide clear and actionable format for stakeholder review. 
  • Process improvement: Work closely with the Operations team to identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies in current processes. Recommend and help implement solutions to streamline operations and improve overall business performance. 
  • Stakeholder communication: Prepare high-quality presentation materials for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that complex insights are communicated in a clear and concise manner.
