Role Overview
The network engineer is responsible for providing internal and external client support for BTCS production infrastructure.
Responsibilities
-
Assist with the implementation of the Network Project Deployment Plans and Operational support
-
Implement network configuration for client connectivity and troubleshoot end to end client connectivity issues.
-
Maintains regional network systems, as needed, and provides off-hours coverage via mobile/remote access as necessary
-
Ensure the accuracy of network inventory, circuit inventory and network diagrams
-
Management of network vendors and carriers to ensure their services can fulfil our SLA
Your Profile
-
1-3 years of experience in similar role
-
Experience in the Financial or Fintech industry is a plus
-
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.

Minimum Qualifications: Must be able to speak, read and write primarily in the English language.

Experience/certification with Cisco equipment, F-5 load balancers, Netscout
-
Experience working in a global operational network team is strongly desired.
-
Posses a solid understanding of the technologies, communications protocols, OSI Model.

Knowledge of Network Monitoring and Management tools
-
Experience supporting large scale Enterprise LAN/WAN infrastructures using Cisco hardware.
Candidate must have a proven hands-on experience in the following areas:
-
Network protocols – BGP, OSPF, HSRP, IPSEC, GRE, 802.11, QoS, IGMP, PIM ect.

Network Platforms - Cisco, Juniper, F5, Netscout
-
OSI – TCP/IP stack
-
Network monitoring – HO OpenView, Nagios, CACTI, SNMP

Cisco CCNA/CCNP qualification
