Junior/ Mid Ruby on Rails Engineer

You should be comfortable at both the Ruby/Rails programming and UI creation based on design and/or UX team specifications. Your main objective is to create maintainable, clean and efficient code for our customer facing and internal applications.

We practice test driven development, continuous integration (is something we have in mind), API documentation, Scrum and aggressive upgrades to core packages. We embrace open source technologies and encourage our developers to contribute and help push the boundaries of web technologies while creating stable solutions to unique challenges.

Your core responsibilities include

• Experience in web service integrations (JSON API’s)

• Experience in developing successful web applications

• Experience with source control systems (Git)

• Perform application development, unit testing, and basic production level QA

• Experience in creating REST API’s

• Understanding of database fundamentals

• Strong knowledge of object oriented analysis and design, implementation and maintenance

Some things you should know

• You will be working along other JS/Android/iOS/QA engineers

• We do code reviews

• We follow Scrum (weekly sprints, SP1, SP2, review, retrospectives, refinements)

• We are located in the heart of the city. Lots of restaurants and transportation options nearby

• We have a documented API and follow the JSONAPI specification (http://jsonapi.org/) to make your on-boarding a lot simpler

• Building exciting / awesome internal tools for the fast moving tech delivery platform
