We are seeking a talented and motivated Junior MEAN/MERN Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in developing, maintaining, and innovating our applications using the MEAN/MERN stack. Marsh McLennan (MMC) has established its EMEA Technology Hub in Cluj, Romania, reflecting our commitment to innovation and excellence. This hub is central to our digital strategy, addressing emerging challenges and enhancing service delivery through advanced technology solutions that empower our clients and promote sustainable growth.
We will count on you to:
- Develop, maintain, and innovate on the MEAN/MERN Stack.
- Assist team members from both technical and functional perspectives.
- Conduct code reviews with peers to ensure the delivery of bug-free code check-ins.
- Ensure the seamless running of applications through regular security certificate upgrades, technical framework upgrades, and remediation of DAST and SAST security vulnerabilities, along with other operational tasks.
- Deliver projects within agreed SLAs and according to the release plan.
- Take technical ownership of the application holistically and mentor team members.
- Communicate effectively with team members and the local manager.
- Provide technical assistance to other team members.
What you need to have:
- Knowledge and experience in development techniques using the MEAN/MERN Tech Stack.
- Proficiency in JIRA/Confluence and Agile methodology (a must).
- Experience with source code management tools such as Git (a must).
- Understanding of standard development processes and tools such as Azure DevOps (ADO).
What makes you stand out:
- Experience in developing, deploying, and maintaining container-based applications.
- REST API and microservice development experience.
- Experience with other languages/frameworks such as Python, Rust, Go, React, and FastAPI.
