Job DescriptionIf you are a qualified enthusiastic legal professional, you may be the expert we are looking for to join our dynamic team in Madrid, Spain. As a Junior Legal Counsel, you will work in close cooperation with PSI’s local and international legal and project teams to determine appropriate terms and conditions of contracts and to provide legal advice and support.
Office-based in Madrid, Spain
Your role will include:
- Reviewing, drafting and negotiating contracts and other legal documents relating to clinical research
- Adapting contract templates to the requirements of clients, hospitals and vendors
- Preparing, reviewing and drafting corporate documents and other legal documents in English and Spanish
- Providing advice and support on compliance with clinical research legislation, company law, employment law, data protection and other legislation Researching and analyzing various legal matters
- Supporting compliance with company policies, procedures and instructions relating to legal matters
- Providing trainings to other PSI departments
- Assist in any other legal or administrative matters
- Law degree, with sound knowledge of contract and corporate law. Specific knowledge on relevant laws and regulations pertaining to clinical trials will be valued.
- Fluency in Spanish and English, oral and written
- Portuguese will be considered as a plus but will not be an excluding factor
- A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in an international commercial legal practice (law firm or in-house position), ideally with exposure to the pharmaceutical sector
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Ability to work accurately with strong attention to detail
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and work efficiently under tight deadlines
- Ability to work independently but also within a team
- Proficiency in MS Word, intermediate proficiency in other standard MS Office applications
