SCPA Manager Trainee - 6 months internship

About the role.
We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented SCPA Manager Trainee to join our Retail Sales Team in Spain, based in Madrid. This internship will offer valuable exposure to the dynamic world of FMCG sales and administrative processes. Reporting to the Sales Director for the Mediterranean region, you'll split your time between managing essential sales administrative tasks and supporting our Key Account Managers and marketing efforts to ensure seamless execution of customer plans at the point of sale.
What you'll be doing.
- Support the Sales team by managing mandate and application contracts.
- Approve national agreements and co-op invoices in Highradius, ensuring alignment with contract references.
- Assist in credit and accounts receivable management by solving issues such as invoice claims, pricing differences, and credit notes.
- Serve as a liaison between Key Account Managers and Commercial Controllers to manage and analyze commercial accruals in SAP.
- Collaborate with marketing and category teams to stay updated on campaigns, promotions, and new product launches.
- Help coordinate external merchandising activities to ensure strong brand execution at retail points of sale.
- Support internal sales teams and management with performance tracking and administrative tasks.
- Ensure McCain's visibility in industry publications and online platforms.
- Work cross-functionally with finance and marketing for smooth information flow and execution.
What you'll need to be successful.
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Business, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- English C1 level, both written and spoken.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); familiarity with SAP is a plus.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to work with cross-functional teams in a multicultural environment.

About the team.
You'll be part of the Retail Sales Team for Spain, reporting to the Sales Director for the Mediterranean Region. The team is dynamic, collaborative, and strongly aligned with McCain's customer-first approach. You'll work closely with Key Account Managers, Marketing, Finance, and external merchandising partners. Although you won't have direct reports, your role will be pivotal in enabling smooth internal processes and external execution at the point of sale.
