About the role

As a Junior General Ledger Accountant, you'll do more than just crunch numbers. You'll play a role in maintaining financial integrity and supporting our organization's overall financial health. You will be contributing to month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes and provide support during both internal and external audits. It goes without saying that you stay updated on regulatory requirements and implement best practices in accounting. Furthermore you are keen on improving general ledger processes and you proactively participate in updating our financial systems.

About your tasks:

• Accurately preparing journal entries.
• Supporting the preparation of documentation for balance sheet account reconciliation.
• Act as the main point of contact for fixed assets register.
• Performing account analysis to ensure that journal entries and balances are correct.
• Ensuring timely reporting and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Supporting the Senior General Ledger accountant.
• Prepare and follow up on Discount invoices.

Qualifications

About You:

• You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, equipping you with a strong foundation in financial principles.
• You have at least one year of experience in a finance-related role within an international company, giving you exposure to cross-border financial operations.
• You are comfortable working with ERP systems and financial software, ideally in an e-commerce environment where agility and accuracy are key.
• A tech-savvy mindset comes naturally to you—you’re confident navigating multiple systems and tools to optimize efficiency.
• You have excellent English communication skills, allowing you to collaborate effectively in a global team. Since many of our colleagues speak German, proficiency in German would be a plus.
