Position Summary: 

As a Junior Engineering Developer, you will develop and maintain software tools, functionalities, and automation scripts that streamline our engineering workflow, follow industrial standard guidelines for structural assessment, focusing on pre-processing and post-processing steps of a structural simulation process. This position
bridges the gap between traditional engineering disciplines and software development.

Responsibilities:

  • Read and apply industrial standard guidelines (e.g API579, ASME) to structural simulation processes using Finite Element (FE) method.
  • Configure and perform structural simulations using finite element method, analyze results of displacements and stress that support software feature development and enhancement.
  • Contribute to the development of computational software features, functionalities and write tests.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software issues to ensure desired functionality and quality.
  • Write documentation for Python code, structural simulation processes, and feature functionalities.

Must Have:

  • Education:
    • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computational Engineering, or in a related field of study
  • Technical Skills:
  • Mandatory familiarity with the Finite Element (FE) Method and hands-on experience with industrial finite element software or specialized FEA tools.
  • Ability to use programming languages e.g. Python, to automate engineering workflows.
  • Softskills:
  • Effective communication using English.
  • Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, especially when working with complex technical workflows.
  • High aptitude for learning new technologies, tools, and engineering concepts quickly.
  • Effective team collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with developers, engineers, testers, and domain experts across multiple continents and time zones.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and eagerness to learn new technologies and methodologies.

Nice-to-have skills:

  • Good foundation in mathematics, including linear algebra, matrix computations, and spatial geometry.
  • Familiar with version control systems (Github) to manage, maintain and monitor different branches e.g. master, development, release branches.
  • Ability to read and apply industrial standard guidelines to structural simulation processes.
