RESPONSIBILITIES
- Applies varied and moderately complex clerical procedures, methods, and techniques to support business functions and processes.
- Assists the organizational team with various projects or special tasks as needed.
- Assists in preparing reports, typing documents, filing, and answering questions regarding processes and procedures.
- Communicate with clients to discuss technical issues, explain UL procedures and requirements, convey project cost, and negotiate completion date and sample requirements.
- Acts to address client concerns and to resolve client issues.
- Provides technical assistance to clients in reference to product inspection and follow-up services.
- Coordinates laboratory activities by preparing data sheets and instructions to laboratory technicians, scheduling and reviewing work of laboratory technicians and engineering assistants and establishing completion dates.
- Coordinates administrative aspects of project management.
- Communicates project status and results to clients through frequent contact and by preparing reports.
- May schedule, coordinate and maintain calendar, meeting agendas, and travel itineraries.
- Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices.
- Performs other duties as directed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2-year university degree preferred.
- Experience working with external ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratories to request test quotes and review of their report.
- Familiarity with quality management systems (ISO/IEC 17025, and ISO/IEC 17065)
- One year of technical experience with Wire & Cable products
- One-year customer service experience.
- Advanced English proficiency
