Job Title: Junior Systems Administrator/Engineer

Job Description:

Unisys is seeking a Systems Administrator/Engineer to work on our customers' mainframe systems. This role offers full training and is an excellent opportunity for individuals with 1-2 years of experience in a similar systems role (Windows, Linux, Unix, Mainframe, etc.).

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide ongoing Systems Administration support, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of hardware, software, applications, and connectivity components.
• Offer technical support and advice on the use of programming tools, database systems, and networks.
• Address availability and reliability issues on various systems (Linux, Unix, Windows, Mainframe, etc.) at client site locations.
• Perform operational responsibilities, including remediation of daily incident tickets, system compliance, system run enhancement, testing, staging, policy/procedure enhancement, client contact coordination, and operational recommendations.
• Gain familiarity with Systems Administration concepts, practices, and methodologies.

You will be successful in this role if you have:

Duties:

• With guidance, perform standard Systems Administration duties, including:
  • Creating, updating, and publishing network diagrams and configurations.
  • Performing daily administrative tasks such as device configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Responding to issues and client requests.
  • Evaluating client hardware requests for compliance, conformity, applicability, performance, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Researching and analyzing systems issues.
  • Assisting in the development, implementation, and documentation of project tasks.
• Document assigned activities and progress.
• Learn and apply company and industry standard systems administration policies and guidelines.
• Assist with special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

• BA/BS degree and 1-2 years of relevant experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Languages: French AND English essential, Dutch advantageous
