To support its expanding activities in Egypt, DEME Concessions is looking to strengthen its team with a Junior Project Engineer. As Junior Project Engineer located in Cairo you support all project planning and development activities including strategy building, multi-disciplinary alignment, financial planning, economic modeling, and relationship building with all stakeholders in including: potential partners, suppliers, contractors, financiers, and regulators. Once project execution begins, you would analyze and monitor project execution according to the planning, identify risks and opportunities, report on progress and review, advise/make suggestions for optimization, and modify existing reporting and/or planning tools and working methodologies if necessary, in line with contractual requirements, in order to optimize and contribute to an optimal realization of project objectives.Your responsibilities
- You are part of the project team in Egypt;
- You provide project support and services through expertise throughout the different development phases;
- You analyze (financial) data, optimize on jointly defined criteria;
- You report to the Project Development Manager on a daily basis.
- With profound technical knowledge, develop tender packages and liaise with suppliers;
- You monitor the progress of the project, participate in coordinating activities in the field, optimize and fine-tune where necessary in support of the Project Development Manager or HQ;
- You liaise with different stakeholders within the development team;
- Taking care of ad hoc needs of the project and actively respond to questions from the (project) management;
- You ensure planning, production reporting, budget control and cost monitoring;
Your profile

You have a degree (BSc/Msc) in Business Administration or Engineering.

You are interested in Green Hydrogen, alternatively you are already experienced in civil construction works and/or renewable energy;

Passion about the marine environment and large projects, built with large equipment;

You have a keen interest in financial modelling;

You are a strong analytical and creative thinker;

You master MS Office applications such as Excel, Powerpoint, and Word;

You have eye for detail and enjoy being part of a large team;

You are willing and open to travel, for short or long assignments abroad;

You are able to express yourself fluently in spoken and written English and Arabic. Knowledge of any other language is an asset.
