Junior Data Engineer

The role:

As a Junior Data Engineer, you will help drive our goals by:

• Supporting the design, development and maintenance of data pipelines and data solutions using Microsoft Azure technologies.

• Working with data from a wide range of business and operational systems, including SAP and other enterprise platforms, helping to ensure it is reliable, accurate and accessible.

• Collaborating with data engineers, integration specialists and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver practical data solutions.

• Contributing to the team's transition towards a modern Snowflake-based data platform, learning and applying new technologies along the way.

• Monitoring and troubleshooting data flows, investigating data quality issues and supporting continuous improvements across the platform.

• Following data engineering best practices, contributing to code reviews, documentation and continuous improvements across the platform.

Key skills that will help you succeed in this role:

• Some exposure to data, analytics, software engineering or reporting through previous work experience or personal learning.

• Basic knowledge of Python and an interest in building a career in data engineering.

• Experience working with data or analysing datasets to solve business problems would be an advantage.

• Interest in cloud technologies and modern data platforms, with a willingness to learn Microsoft Azure and Snowflake.

• Strong learning agility and curiosity to learn new technologies, systems and business processes.

• Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
