About the role:
As a Junior Business Controller, you will be a partner for our Benelux Cluster, influencing strategic decisions and working closely with our commercial team. You’ll handle sales forecasts, manage trade spend, financial analysis of new product introductions, and financial planning and reporting. This role reports to the Finance Manager for Benelux based in Amersfoort.
Your day to day:
- Participate in weekly sales forecast meetings and monthly demand review management, focusing on Net Sales and Gross Profit forecasting.
- Manage end-to-end Trade Spend verification, analysis, and understanding within the Haleon ERP system. Verify gross-to-net sales forecasts and actuals, providing support to the sales and NRM teams as needed.
- Facilitate the implementation of price changes in the systems, prepare external price lists, and determine pricing for new SKU introductions.
- Analyze gross-to-net and COGS drivers of the gross margin and perform COGS comparisons.
- Collaborate with the marketing team on financial analysis for new product introductions and brand-related financial analysis.
- Conduct periodic and quarterly hard closes on Trade Spending and ensure compliant management of trade funds.
- Oversee certain ICFW controls within finance and supervise others within their functions.
- Work effectively with P&F, C&C, and Genpact teams to achieve the financial and compliance objectives of the cluster.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related studies.
- Excel professional proficiency.
- Fluent in Dutch and English.
- Great communicator, influencer, and ability to effectively work across departments and with remote counterparts.
- Ability to work effectively in Matrix organization structure.
Preferred:
- Agility to learn business skills and develop independent commercial judgement.
- Demonstrates the ability to prioritize workload to meet critical deadlines in line with business requirements.
- Continuous improvement mindset, together with strong self-motivation and internal drive.
