Leidos has an exciting opportunity for a Junior Business Analyst to join our team supporting a high-visibility U.S. Army enterprise IT modernization program. This position is part of a structured rotational development program designed for recent graduates seeking hands-on experience across three core disciplines — Program Management, Data Science, and Software Engineering.
You’ll gain a comprehensive understanding of how large-scale technology programs are managed, measured, and modernized — all while contributing to a mission that connects and secures the Army’s global network.
Primary Responsibilities
During the 12- to 18-month rotational period (minimum of 4 months per rotation), the Junior Business Analyst will:
Program Management Office (PMO) Rotation
Support planning, scheduling, and cost tracking activities
Assist in preparing and analyzing program dashboards, reports, and deliverables
Contribute to process improvement and reporting excellence initiatives
Gain exposure to Earned Value Management (EVM), risk tracking, and performance metrics
Data Science & Analytics Rotation
Assist in data tagging, organization, and analytics pipeline development
Learn how data drives decisions across enterprise IT operations
Support development of visualizations and reporting dashboards
Contribute to automation, AI/ML tagging, and predictive analysis efforts
Software Engineering & Development Rotation
Collaborate with software developers on automation, application enhancements, and workflow tools
Participate in agile stand-ups, sprint reviews, and code walkthroughs
Learn DevSecOps practices and version control fundamentals
Help design and test software components that enhance service delivery
At the end of the program, the analyst will have developed a strong foundation across all three functional areas — positioning them for a full-time role in project management, analytics, or software engineering
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field and 2 years + experience.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Demonstrated curiosity and enthusiasm for learning across technical and management domains
Ability to work collaboratively in a distributed team environment
Public Trust Clearance and ability to obtain a Secret security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
Internship or coursework experience in program/project management, data analytics, or software development
Familiarity with tools such as Power BI, Python, JIRA, or Excel advanced functions
Exposure to Agile or Lean methodologies
Strong interest in national security, defense, or large-scale IT programs
