Assets is a feature in Jira Service Management that offers visibility into dependencies so you can manage assets and configuration items (CIs), quickly troubleshoot incidents, and minimize the risk of changes.
Unlike legacy databases, Assets in Jira Service Management offers a flexible and open data structure that allows teams to manage any resources important to their service request, incident, and change management practices. It's a table-stakes capability at the heart of every ITSM solution.
As part of the team, you will contribute by creating solutions to the customer problem around how data lands in Assets in the first place. Most customers import their data that originate from other systems into Assets which makes this capability extremely important for the success of our customer journeys. The team owns most import capabilities and we are working on integrating a recent acquisition to further boost our import-related features for customers.

• You will not be required to know a specific programming language, however experience with a prominent language such as Java, Python, C#, C/C++, or Ruby is crucial.
• Deep understanding of data structures, in particular, how they are implemented and how to apply them to solve problems
• Passion for collaborating, tackling hard problems and not being afraid to ask questions
• A real appetite for learning and growing, both as a developer and teammate.
