Role Summary and Impact
We’re looking for a Junior Art Director who lives and breathes bold, original thinking; a hunger to do the best work of their career. You’ll blend strong conceptual thinking with top-notch craft skills, bringing social-first concepts to life through thumb-stopping video edits, motion design and social content that captivates and delights audiences.
In addition, you will partner closely with the Planning Team to ideate, shape and visualise content proposals that KOLs/creators will execute, translating brand insights into creator‑friendly briefs to help proposals shine through their final content.
Key responsibilities as a Junior Art Director:
- Bring to life visuals, the concept and execution of integrated cross-channel initiatives - including online advertising, digital marketing & regional campaigns.
- Roll up your sleeves and be skilled in executional craft in fields like animation, video production and graphic design, while being keenly aware of new immersive, interactive mediums on social/digital platforms.
- Work closely & actively communicate with other designers, as well as the rest of the GOAT team to ensure best-practices and standards.
- Attend project briefing meetings, or project kick-offs, where required.
- Excel in presenting creative concepts and campaign proposals that inspire client confidence and excitement
- Question briefs and challenge clients where appropriate – providing extra value and pushing for the most exciting solutions.
- Support the Planning Team closely in ideating, developing and presenting proposals based on campaign briefs from WPP Media Agency leads
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Collaborate across the GOAT team to support integrated content initiatives.
- Lead visual conceptualisation and development of integrated advertising campaigns, from brief to final execution, working closely with the Creative Lead.
- Generate fresh, original, and strategically sound visual ideas that effectively communicate client messages and achieve campaign objectives.
- Actively participate in brainstorming sessions, contributing innovative concepts and pushing creative boundaries.
- Develop mood boards, storyboards, visual mock-ups, and presentations to effectively communicate creative concepts to internal teams, clients and other stakeholders.
- Execute high-quality visual designs across diverse media, including digital (social media, display, web, video), experiential, and integrated campaigns.
- Maintain a high level of craft and attention to detail in all design outputs while adhering to brand guidelines and pushing creative limits.
- Oversee and provide direction to junior designers, as well as peers, to ensure visual consistency and quality.

Development Milestones:
First 1–3 Months:
- Develop an integrated and collaborative relationship with internal/external stakeholders.
- Complete key client and team onboarding, including internal and external client-agency meetings.
- Learn to support content strategy creation and campaign execution processes; and work across functions within the wider GOAT team.
- Gain exposure to the creative process, including pre-production, on-site, and post-production workflows.
3–6 Months:
- Establish seamless and trusted working relationships across the agency and clients.
- Worked with your Creative Team to create best-in-class creative work clients.
- Become a much-valued creative partner to the Planning Team.
12 Months:
- Fully grasp the systems and processes of the GOAT team from an integrated, cross-functional perspective, and proactively suggest workflow improvements.
- Take ownership of individual KPIs and contribute to team targets. - Helped drive high-design value ideas for campaign implementation
- Help shape the agency’s positioning in market by delivering fresh, best-in-class creative work
Skills and Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in visual design or art direction (agency or in-house). Strong internship/freelance experience considered.
- Portfolio demonstrating solid fundamentals in typography, layout, color, and brand application across digital and social.
- Familiarity with integrated campaign work and content creation for paid/organic social.
- Understanding of basic production workflows (digital specs, print/prepress fundamentals, simple motion/video deliverables).
