Build real data pipelines and AI tools, and ship them to production.
ShipMonk runs fulfillment for 1,500+ ecommerce brands, up to 100,000 orders a day in peak season. The product is built in Prague. We are building a new AI domain in our Data team and are looking for a junior engineer who builds AI-first and wants to learn how data and AI work in a real company.
You will work with senior data and AI engineers. You will build pipelines and data models, then AI tools on top of them, for colleagues across the business. You will help spot where AI can help them, and your work goes to production.
What You'll Do- Build and maintain data pipelines and data models
- Build AI assistants, apps and automations with AI coding tools, and help take them to production
- Experiment with new AI tools and share what works with the team
- Help colleagues in business teams start using AI in their work
- Learn to scope a problem with business users and present results
What You’ll Bring
- You build AI-first. You use AI coding tools for your own projects, not only chat.
- At least one project where you moved and shaped real data: a thesis, an internship or a personal project. A link is welcome.
- Good SQL and Python
- A basic idea of how data gets from a source system into a database or warehouse
- Curiosity, and the will to explain what you built
- Good English
- Something you built and deployed that other people use
- Any cloud warehouse, orchestration or Docker experience
- Statistics or econometrics
- Mentoring from senior data and AI engineers
- Production work from month one, on a real data platform
- Time to experiment with the newest AI tools
