We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Accountant (2+ years experience) to support Xendit’s finance operations in Thailand. This role will work closely with TH finance team and regional stakeholders to ensure accurate accounting, compliance, and strong financial controls in Thailand.
Key Responsibilities
- Record day-to-day financial transactions in the accounting system, including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Verify invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and supporting documents for accuracy and legitimacy
- Preparing and filing monthly tax returns, including Withholding Tax (P.N.D. 3, 53), Value Added Tax (P.P. 30), and Social Security Fund (SSF) submissions
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and investigate ledger discrepancies
- Perform monthly General Ledger reconciliations, including clearing accounts, accruals, prepayments, intercompany balances, and control accounts, ensuring all reconciling items are identified, investigated, and resolved timely
- Assist senior accountants in month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing journal entries and tracking fixed assets/depreciation
- Coordinate with internal departments, external vendors, and local authorities (such as the Revenue Department) regarding financial documentation
- Support statutory reporting and coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors in various jurisdictions
- Assist in intercompany reconciliations and cross-border transaction accounting
- Collaborate with Product, Operations, and FinOps teams to support financial reporting needs
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 2+ years of accounting experience (AP is preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and comfortable working with large datasets and numbers
- Basic understanding of Thai Tax Laws and Thai Financial Reporting Standards (TFRS)
- Knowledge in Netsuite ERP system a plus
- Good command of Thai, conversational English (ability to handle emails and basic communication) is highly preferred
- High attention to detail, strong ownership mindset, and ability to work in a fast-paced fintech environment
