Role Overview
We're looking for a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support a growing finance team on core accounting activities. Working closely with and reporting to a Senior Accountant, you'll take ownership of transactional accounting and month-end and quarter-end close support. This is a hands-on role suited to someone early in their career who's accurate, organized, and eager to grow within a finance function.
Key Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable (AP) in line with company policy, including invoice coding, verification, and payment preparation
- Support the month-end and quarter-end close process to ensure timely and accurate reporting
- Prepare journal entries in accordance with company policy
- Prepare month-end and quarter-end schedules, including PP&E, prepaids, accounts receivable (AR), and similar reconciliations
- Assist the Senior Accountant with ad-hoc tasks and analysis as needed
- Maintain organized, audit-ready records and supporting documentation

Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 2–4 years of accounting experience; CPA or CPA candidate preferred
- Solid understanding of general accounting principles and the month-end and quarter-end close cycle
- Experience with AP processing and account reconciliations
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Sage Intacct, NetSuite, QuickBooks, Xero, or similar) and strong Excel skills
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through
- Good written and verbal communication; comfortable working directly with an onshore team
- Able to work PST hours and integrate into the client's daily workflow
Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 2-4 years of accounting experience
- CPA certification or CPA candidacy
- Understanding of general accounting principles and month-end and quarter-end close processes
- Experience with accounts payable processing and account reconciliations
- Proficiency with accounting software such as Sage Intacct, NetSuite, QuickBooks, Xero, or similar
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work Pacific Standard Time hours and integrate into the client's daily workflow
