A Junior Accountant assists the finance or accounting team in maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and supporting daily accounting activities. This role helps ensure accurate financial data and supports the organization’s financial operations.
Assist in preparing financial statements and reports.
Record and maintain daily financial transactions.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Help prepare invoices, payments, and expense reports.
Reconcile bank statements and financial records.
Maintain and update accounting databases and documents.
Support senior accountants during audits and financial reviews.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (B.Com or related field).
Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (such as Tally or similar tools).
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial records.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage time and meet deadlines.
Basic understanding of financial reports and bookkeeping.
