What You'll Do:
- Support the month-end close activities, including the preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations and supporting schedules.
- Analyze and explain monthly balance sheet and income statement fluctuations and variances
- Assist with compiling year-end external audit requests
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial close process.
- Maintain and improve financial controls and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Assist team with any ad hoc tasks, clean-up, reporting projects
- Work with various departments to streamline data flow and processes
What You Will Bring to Coupa:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related discipline required.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP.
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar role and CPA is a plus.
- Candidate should be self-motivated, able to effectively prioritize responsibilities, work within tight deadlines, and work in a dynamic environment.
- Superior poise and professionalism.
- Must be able to think outside the box, work independently with general supervision, be a team player, and willing to contribute beyond the defined role to meet business needs as circumstances require.
- Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement.
