The Jr. Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer role responsibility is to serve as Atlas' front line for alerts & requests. Our multinational team addresses issues with end-user devices, cloud technologies, and basic network troubleshooting. This role is full-time (40 hours/week) with daily 1-hour unpaid lunch.

NOC offers technical career opportunities for advancement towards a NOC Engineer role by working more advanced alerts and requests. We also offer an annual bonus of up to 10%.

Responsibilities:

  • Primary responsibility will be monitoring mailboxes for alerts and work assignments, dispatching
  • Additional responsibilities will include working with team members resolving user device, network, cloud and SOC alerts
  • Resolve requests, primarily consisting of scheduling after-hours maintenance and device/new customer onboarding.
  • Communicate with vendors and customers as a point of contact, Coordinate maintenance, after-hours repair, and patch remediation.
  • Documentation, maintaining knowledge base, new articles, and content improvements.
  • Recommend and improve processes to drive better outcomes.

Language Requirements:

  • Ability to speak, read, and write at a conversational English level.
  • Shift may require verbal and written communication with clients & users.

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of general IT experience, primarily in server, desktop support, and networking/circuits
  • Microsoft Windows Desktop & Server OS, with an emphasis on Desktop issues
  • OS & App Patching, OS Upgrades, Failure Remediation
  • E-Mail Technologies, including Mail Flow Troubleshooting, Archiving, Retention, Compliance
  • Comprehension of network protocols (TCP/IP, VPN, DNS, DHCP), Layer 1-3 troubleshooting
  • Resolve alerts as raised by SIEM/SOC providers, Antivirus
  • Strong diagnostics toolkit:
    • approach an incident with logic
  • Conscious of time spent on a given issue
  • Passionate about delivering consistently positive experiences to our customers

Desirable Qualities:

  • Experience working in an MSP/Consultancy environment
  • Experience with RMM tools and ticketing system application
