XLA is currently seeking a Junior Financial Management Specialist to join our team. This position will be fully remote, supporting a Federal Client of ours that works on East Coast Standard time.
The candidate should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance / Accounting – Or – two (2) years of professional work experience in related financial field in lieu of a bachelor’s degree. A candidate with a Bachelor’s degree + 1-2 years of professional work experience is highly desired.
Salary: $70k per year
Primary Job Duties:
- Experience with processing documents and transactions from designated Districts using the UFMS and EOUSA systems.
- Experience reviewing accounting practices to ensure compliance with other Federal laws and regulations, generally accepted Government accounting practices, and relevant Office Management and Budget (OMB) circulars.
- Experience identifying corrective actions for improper or illegal expenditures and accounting funds.
- Experience reviewing and analyzing annual financial statements to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, program policies, and procedures.
- Demonstrates proficiency in using spreadsheet and word processing software and general knowledge of financial statements.
- Demonstrates a working knowledge of the Federal Travel Regulation (FTR) when reviewing and processing travel vouchers from District employees; experience processing travel documents in the E2 Solutions.
- Provide customer in-person training.
- Experience processing in spreadsheet and word processing software.
