KEY RESPONSIBILITIES What does this position aim to do?

• Collaborate with business users and IT teams to gather, document, and analyze requirements for new or enhanced systems.
• Assist in designing technical and functional specifications that align with business objectives.
• Work with developers to translate business needs into SQL queries and system logic.
• Participate in system testing, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis of issues.
• Support ongoing system enhancements, upgrades, and process improvements.
• Prepare documentation, including process flows, data mapping, and system configuration notes.
• Conduct user training sessions and assist with creating user manuals or guides.
• Ensure that business requirements are effectively translated into technical deliverables.
• Perform basic data analysis and reporting using SQL and other tools.

MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS What should the position holder be and have?

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• At least 3 years of working experience as Business Systems Analyst
• Familiarity with SQL – ability to write queries for data validation and reporting.
• Basic understanding of system design concepts and software development life cycle (SDLC).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Eagerness to learn new technologies and systems.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

• Experience with requirements gathering or business analysis (internships or academic projects welcome).
• Knowledge of data modeling or relational database concepts.
• Exposure to Agile or Waterfall project methodologies.
• Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or other project management platforms.
• Basic knowledge of APIs or integration concepts.
