About the Morningstar Development Program (MDP)
The MDP is a two-year rotational program designed to prepare recent graduates for long-term careers at Morningstar. Based in our Madrid office, you'll gain hands-on experience across multiple teams within our Credit Ratings business, supported by mentorship, training, and professional development opportunities.
We are hiring recent graduates for our MDP Program, and we would love the opportunity to connect with you. We will be attending the ESADE Career Fair on 11th March, and we will also be hosting coffee chat sessions from 17:00 - 18:00 h. where you will have the opportunity to speak with a Junior Analyst and the MDP Program Manager in an informal, small group setting.
These sessions are designed to help you:
- Gain first-hand insight into life at Morningstar and the MDP Program.
- Learn more about the types of projects and career paths available.
- Gain insight into the training and development you will receive.
These chats are a great way to connect directly with our team. Spaces are limited so we encourage you to sign up early.
We are really looking forward to meeting you on campus!

Morningstar's hybrid work environment gives you the opportunity to collaborate in-person each week as we've found that we're at our best when we're purposely together on a regular basis. In most of our locations, our hybrid work model is four days in-office each week. A range of other benefits are also available to enhance flexibility as needs change. No matter where you are, you'll have tools and resources to engage meaningfully with your global colleagues.
Morningstar Compensation & Benefits Highlights
-
Leave & Time Off Breadth — A recurring paid sabbatical every four years and flexible time off in North America provide substantial time away from work. A global minimum of six weeks’ paid caregiving leave further extends coverage for personal and family needs.
-
Parental & Family Support — Paid parental leave sets a stated global minimum of 16 weeks for primary caregivers and up to eight weeks for secondary caregivers, with adoption assistance reimbursing eligible expenses. These policies are positioned as global standards that complement broader leave programs.
-
Equity Value & Accessibility — Employees can convert a portion of bonuses or commissions into RSUs with an additional company match on the converted amount. Impact RSU awards in some cases add further upside tied to strong performance.
