Summary: The JIRA Administrator will be responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and administration of the JIRA software platform. This role involves managing user permissions, configuring workflows, and ensuring the overall efficiency of the system. The JIRA Administrator will work closely with various departments to support their project management needs and ensure that JIRA is optimized to meet the organization's requirements. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Configure and maintain JIRA software: JIRA Service Management 

  • Manage user permissions and roles to ensure appropriate access and security. 

  • Create, modify, and manage workflows, custom fields, and dashboards. 

  • Integrate JIRA with other tools and systems to streamline processes and improve efficiency. 

  • Provide technical support and training to users on JIRA functionalities and best practices. 

  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise. 

  • Collaborate with business units and project management to understand their requirements and implement solutions in JIRA. 

  • Maintain documentation for JIRA configurations, processes, and procedures. 

  • Stay updated with the latest JIRA features and updates to ensure the organization is leveraging the tool effectively. 

 

Other Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Maintain and enhance industry and Centier technology solutions knowledge. 

  • Set standards of excellence by adhering to the Essentials of Excellence and Centier Values. 

  • Exhibit positive energy, enthusiasm, and follow through on duties. 

  • Celebrate successes with the team and the organization. 

  • Play an active role in Centier activities. 

  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: 

  •  Associate’s degree in a related field. 
  • 2+ years of relevant experience. 

  • Proven experience as a JIRA administrator with a focus on JIRA Service Manager. 

 

 Department hours are Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00 CST. The Technical Solutions team is based out of the Corporate Campus in Merrillville, IN.
