GCyber is hiring a JIRA Administrator to support the modernization of DISA’s Secure Web Services (SWS) environment, specifically configuring and maintaining JIRA dashboards and workflows to streamline cloud systems deployment and management.
Given the highly sensitive nature of this work, this This position will be performed 100% on site with no opportunity for hybrid or remote work. 
As the JIRA Administrator, you will: 

  • Functional Analysis & Improvement: Analyze and review our current JIRA functionality. Document the existing framework and identify opportunities for enhancement, ensuring our tools are aligned with our operational goals.
  • JIRA Administration: Work with JIRA filters, reporting, dashboards, workflows, fields, and overall JIRA administration, customizing these elements to meet the unique demands of our projects and teams.
  • Permission Management: Manage user permissions meticulously across various tools, aligning access with the specific needs of projects and teams, and ensuring a secure and efficient workflow.
  • Tool Compatibility & Testing: Proactively test new versions of tools and plug-ins, guaranteeing compatibility and smooth integration into our existing systems.
  • JIRA System Analysis & Continuous Improvement: Analyze and review current JIRA functionality. Document the existing framework and identify opportunities for enhancement, ensuring our tools are aligned with our program goals.
  • JIRA Improvement Implementation: Support JIRA improvement efforts including projects, workflow configurations, permissions, and user. This may include integrating external plug-ins and/or refining JIRA Query Language (JQL) searches.
  • Data Management & Analytics: Review incident ticket data to ensure data accuracy for analytics and reporting helping us make informed, data-driven IT support decisions.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance and be eligible to obtain and maintain a CI Poly.
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II (i.e., CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE)
  • BA/BS degree and 4-8 years prior relevant experience; additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum of 3+ years hands-on experience working with the Atlassian product suite, with specific focus on JIRA as an Administrator.
  • Ability to construct custom dashboards using various filter types in JIRA.
  • Ability to construct Confluence pages and integrate JIRA projects with Confluence pages.
  • Scripting experience (e.g., bash, python, perl) desired
