We are seeking seasoned Jenzabar ERP Administrators (EX, CX, J1) to join our dynamic information technology team. As part of IT, the Jenzabar Administrator is responsible for the management, maintenance, and optimization of the campus Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, Jenzabar EX, CX, J1. The Administrator will work closely with various campus departments to maintain and enhance the ERP, supporting the institution's needs and aiming for operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • ERP System Management: Administer, configure, and optimize Jenzabar ERP systems (EX, CX, J1), including managing system settings, user access, and security protocols to ensure robustness and reliability.
  • Maintenance and Optimization: Conduct regular system updates and monitor and test backups, ensuring the smooth and secure operation of the ERP system.
  • System Performance Monitoring: Regularly monitor system performance, and troubleshoot any issues that arise, utilizing subject matter expertise, advanced troubleshooting skills, and vendor resources to resolve problems efficiently.
  • Technical Documentation and Reporting: Create, maintain, and disseminate detailed documentation and instructions for system configurations, operations, and troubleshooting procedures. Prepare and deliver frequent status reports detailing progress, issues, and roadblocks.
  • Data Management and Integrity: Manage data migrations, refresh development servers with current production data (clones), and ensure the highest standards of data integrity and security in collaboration with campus stakeholders.
  • Customer and Technical Support: Respond promptly to service tickets and user queries, providing timely technical support and escalating complex issues as necessary.
  • SQL Server and Database Administration: Architect, install, configure, and upgrade SQL Server and other relevant database technologies according to best practices and organizational guidelines.
  • System Customization and Integration: Customize and configure the ERP system to meet specific institutional needs approved by the CIO or designated governance bodies, ensuring seamless integration with other campus technologies.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with various departmental teams to gather requirements, troubleshoot system issues, and implement solutions that streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Mentorship and Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to client System Administrators and CampusWorks team members, fostering a collaborative team environment and enhancing collective technical expertise.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in system administration with significant expertise in managing Jenzabar ERP systems (EX, CX, J1).
  • Extensive experience in Windows or Linux operating systems and in a virtualized environment.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, T-SQL, and database administration, including performance tuning and best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex problems, develop strategic solutions, and implement changes effectively.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills, capable of managing multiple priorities and engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Prior experience in coordinating meetings and facilitating group discussions.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Leadership experience in managing technical projects, with a focus on enterprise application support.
  • Experience in developing and executing strategic technology plans that align with institutional goals.
  • Proficiency in other database systems is a plus, like MySQL, Informix, and Oracle.
  • Proficiency in SQL Server Reporting Services, Appeon Infomaker, and/or other reporting platforms.
  • Willingness to adhere to best practices related to change management, coding standards, software development lifecycle, customization documentation, and knowledge management in general.
  • Experience supporting other higher education software applications and/or their integrations with their ERP, like Canvas
  • Additional certifications in Microsoft, VMware, or related technologies.
  • Experience with scripting languages and understanding of network architectures.
